There’s something profoundly symbolic about a new roof — it’s more than just shingles and structure; it’s protection, renewal, and a promise for the future.
Edmonton Talmud Torah has been part of our community since 1912, nurturing generations of students and families. Our current building — the newest in that long and proud history — continues to serve as a vibrant centre for learning, tradition, and connection.
At the May 6, 2025, Board meeting, the decision was made to replace the original roof from 1996. Construction began in early June and, after months of careful work and coordination, was completed in the second week of October.
This project represents an important investment in the longevity of our beloved school building — a place that has sheltered our students, teachers, and families through countless lessons, celebrations, and milestones. For nearly three decades, the old roof stood strong through every season. Now, with this renewal, we look ahead with gratitude and optimism.
The new roof ensures that Edmonton Talmud Torah remains a warm, safe, and welcoming home for learning and community for many years to come. It stands as a testament to the dedication of our Board, the commitment of our community, and the ongoing story of Talmud Torah — built on strong foundations and always looking upward.
