Lev Ha’Emek School is located on Neot Mordechai נְאוֹת מָרְדְּכַי , a kibbutz in northern Israel in the Upper Galilee region of Israel. The kibbutz is the home of Teva Neot, a popular shoe factory all over Israel and overseas. Lev Ha’Emek Elementary is Talmud Torah’s sister school. They participate in regular web based exchanges between the schools, especially around holidays. The P2G (partnership together) program is a coast to coast initiative of the Jewish Federation of Edmonton, and has been in place for over 20 years. It is funded through the United Jewish Appeal Edmonton campaign. This program links TT with Lev Ha’Emek elementary and Emek Hahula high schooI (during TT’s Jr. High days). During the pandemic TT’s Gr. 5/6 students were participating in a virtual mifgash with students from Lev Ha’Emek.
Noa and Shai, along with their parents, spent a whole day with grades 5 and 6 students. It was an enriching experience for all!
