Talmud Torah Early Learning Centre (ELC) is a centre for children ages 12 months through 5 years. ELC is a play-based, inclusive centre with values rooted in Jewish culture.

Our Early Childcare Philosophy

Our ELC play-based program is flexible, stimulating, fun, and strives to meet the needs of the children as individuals and as a group. We address the intellectual and cognitive development, and the emotional, social and physical needs of the children. Throughout the day, children have opportunities for structured group activities, as well as free time to choose from a variety of play centers. Children have physical activity each day, either outside or in the gym dependent on the weather.

The ELC program will also incorporate the use of Hebrew language, celebration of Shabbat and other Jewish holidays, Jewish customs and traditions, learning Jewish songs and dance, as well as weaving into the entire preschool environment a strong and positive identification with Israel. The notion of “Judaism as an integrated part of everyday life” is incorporated into all our programs.

There is a one-time $250 TTELC enrollment fee, per child. (If you leave the program and return, there is a new $250 enrollment fee, per child). Part time options depending on availability (M/W/F or T/Th). Contact ELC Director for information.

Provincial Child Care Subsidy Program

Under the federal-provincial child care agreement, affordability grants are available for full-time and part-time spaces (between 50 and 100 hours per month). Parents do not need to apply to benefit from this fee reduction, as grant funding is automatically applied to fees based on the child’s attendance.

Affordability grant for Child Care Program

Under the federal-provincial child care agreement, Alberta will be providing Affordability Grants to licensed child care programs that commit to working with the government to ensure fees for all families reach an average of $10 per day by the end of 2025-26.

What is the earliest drop off and latest pick up time?

For the 2022-23 school year, K-6 school drop off is 8:15 am. The school day ends at 3:35 pm.
If you are registered in TT ELC (includes ELC and Out of School Care), you can drop off as early as 7:00 am and pick up as late as 5:45 pm.
